Luxury Vacation Homes

Whether you dream of a cherished family retreat, a romantic escape for two, or an unforgettable journey with friends, immerse yourself in intentionally curated spaces that place your well-being first.

If your idea of a perfect Cocoa Beach escape blends sun-washed mornings with a touch of awe, add the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex (KSC) to your itinerary. Tripadvisor’s 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards just crowned KSC the #1 attraction in the United States (and #3 in the world), a well-earned nod to a place where history, innovation, and pure wonder live side by side.

How close is it from our homes?

Very. From Cocoa Beach, it’s roughly a 30-minute drive to the Visitor Complex on Merritt Island, depending on traffic. Pack a coffee, queue your playlist, and you’ll be walking under real rockets before your cup is empty.

Why KSC is topping lists right now

KSC doesn’t feel like a museum, it’s an active gateway to space with immersive exhibits, live presentations by space experts, and frequent launch days that electrify the coast. Tripadvisor’s recognition celebrates how the experience has become both incredibly hands-on and deeply inspiring, from standing beneath moon-bound Saturn hardware to gazing up at the orbiter that helped build the ISS.

What to see (a one-day “don’t-miss” plan)

Tip: KSC opens most days at 9 a.m.; arrive near open to get a jump on the bus tour and Atlantis, then graze the rest at your pace. Check the official site for hours, events, and special after-hours experiences.

The launch day magic (and how to see it)

Watching a rocket rise over the Atlantic is unforgettable. If a launch falls during your stay, you can often see it right from Cocoa Beach, including from the sand in front of our homes, since much of the Space Coast has sightlines to the pads at Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral. For prime spots and timing, Visit Space Coast keeps an excellent launch-viewing guide and schedule.

Prefer the full behind-the-gates experience with commentary and bleacher seating? KSC sells special “See a Launch” tickets for select missions, check availability early.

Pair your space day with beach-day ease

The best part of doing KSC from Cocoa Beach is how effortlessly it folds into a relaxed coastal rhythm. Do a half-day at the Visitor Complex, grab dinner back in town, and wander the beach at sunset. Or devote a full day and come home to private outdoor living, a quick rinse, something simple in the kitchen, and toes in the sand under the stars.

Planning notes

  • Drive time: 30 minutes from Cocoa Beach, depending on traffic. Set out early for lighter crowds.
  • Tickets: Buy in advance on the official site, especially during holidays or special events.
